Art is the proud father of 4 children that are graduates of the Birmingham Public School District that continued their studies at an HBCU. He too is a proud graduate of an HBCU - Southern University - and native of Baton Rouge, LA. Art is Ford Motor Company retiree and “empty nester”. When he’s not traveling to visit the kids or back to his hometown, Art enjoys mentoring students, advising Tech Startups and leading HBCU College Tours. Art sees himself as the BAAFN ambassador to all of the BPS municipalities.
